Building and making money with a WordPress affiliate site is about targeting a very specific keyword or keyword phrase in a niche and building an entire website of 4-5 pages dedicted to it. Step 5. Driving Traffic.

Once your site is indexed and ranked with the search engines you will want to generate a steady flow of traffic to your site. The best way to generate this is by writing as many short informative articles of 280 - 320 words as you can targeting your sites keyword with links back to your site in the resource boxes and submiting them to ezinearticles. These will give you backlinks from a high authority site and traffic for many months to come.
